Personal Trainer Overview

Xander Phoenix grew up playing sports year round, adding Weightlifting and Yoga at the age of 17. Through studying and training with experts from numerous fields throughout college and his 20's, he began shaping a style of training combining everything from yoga to pilates to resistance to bootcamp (high intensity circuit training) to kickboxing to plyometrics, all under the umbrella of metabolic confusion training, aka Xander Fitness. He now combines all of these styles to get the most out of his private clients in Manhattan, NYC.

Bio

Xander Phoenix, founder of Xander Fitness, is a licensed fitness expert as well as a celebrated house DJ and nutritional chef extraordinaire.

He began his journey in fitness at a very young age, playing sports year round since the age of 5. Phoenix was always known to have a relentless supply of explosive energy. After 4 years at the University of Delaware, he moved to NYC where he worked for Red Bull (go figure), supplying energy to the greatest city in the world. At the same time, he began promoting EDM dj's and events, which became his passion. He founded his own event production company in 2006, which eventually became Global Frequencies. In 2008, he began work on his own dance music radio show, which made it all the way to a second meeting with A&R from Sirius Satellite Radio. Unfortunately, the timing was off, as Sirius had just merged with XM and multiple pre-existing programs had to be cut from the schedule.

Following that disappointment, Xander threw himself into health and fitness, receiving 6 certifications in 6 months and quickly becoming the top trainer and group fitness instructor at his midtown Manhattan health club at 34th St & Park Ave, He left there in 2010 in favor of teaching Crunch bootcamps and training a full schedule of private clients.

Currently based in Hell’s Kitchen, Phoenix commutes to his private clients all over Manhattan on his classic motorcycle. Xander is also a renowned party DJ and combines his fitness training with his upbeat music to achieve the highest level of motivation in his sessions. Live Life to the Fittest!
