Bio
Well intended family members and relatives would attempt to provide answers, stating that cancer was a hereditary condition and that he should get checked out immediately. These well intended individuals virtually ensured that Victor would probably get some form of cancer in his life, making the 17 year old feel that cancer was inevitable. But Victor was an unconventional thinker who considered other reasons why his father developed colon cancer.
Victor had been a first hand witness to his father’s toxic lifestyle that involved daily consumption of cigarettes, alcohol, and 1 to 2 fatty meals per day. There was little to no consumption of fruits and vegetables. His father also had a volatile predisposition and a high stress lifestyle. As a result, Victor had an idea that these factors may have played a major role in his father’s death as opposed to a simple genetic predisposition.
So curiously Victor set out on his journey to find the truth about cancer and other diseases, and more importantly what really caused them. He began to read and research countless books and medical articles on the subject of the human body and what causes diseases. His research led him to the conclusion that, although it was true that cancer and other diseases could be considered hereditary, lifestyle and stress management was a much more likely cause for diseases! Victor discovered if you ate healthy and exercise regularly that the likelihood you would develop a terminally ill disease was dramatically reduced. He also learned that diet and exercise had an effect on the body and considerably slowed down the aging process!
From that moment on, Victor knew that he would share this knowledgeable information with anyone who would listen. He also wanted to prevent as many sons and daughters from going through the pain of losing a parent or loved one to cancer and other preventable Dis Eases.
Victor decided to become a Personal Trainer and took a job with a major national gym franchise. He found that his background as an athlete and passion for helping others caused him to stand out from other trainers. He was quickly noticed and placed on the watch list for up and coming managers. In fact, within six months of graduating college, Victor was promoted to manager.
As manger, Victor was responsible for hiring, training, and developing other trainers. He attended hundreds of hours of personal trainer certification and leadership courses. It was during these years that Victor began to perfect his ability to lead others.
After serving the major national gym franchise corporation for 8 years, Victor decided to venture out on his own and take what he had learned as a manager to form his own company. Slim Body Bootcamp (SBBC) was founded in 2011 by Victor Sykes with one major goal in mind, “Promote the benefits of health and fitness in a group setting.” By training people in medium sized groups, SBBC was able to provide an affordable solution of health and fat loss goals to greater numbers of people for a fraction of the cost of personal training.
