Personal Trainer Overview

My Specialties include, strength training, athletic performance, weight loss management, nutritional guidance, flexibility, sport specific training, golf biomechanics (strength & conditioning specifically for golf), group training, core and spine strengthening, injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, and motivation.

My goal is to use all of my knowledge and experience to educate and guide my clients and athletes into the best physical condition possible so they will succeed in accomplishing their personal goals. In return, I would expect them to promote and support me with the same passion and excitement I share with them every day.

Training Philosophy

"I truly believe in the capabilities of the human body and nothing is impossible with the right amount of dedication, education and hard work. I am constantly looking for new and better ways to train and educate myself in order to give my clients/athletes the best coaching/training and education possible. From considerable experience, education and GOD given talent, I can quickly identify weakness and imbalances and implement effective solutions with excellent ability to breakdown and coach technique. With extensive knowledge in many areas I have the tools and experience necessary to deliver results to anyone who seeks them and is willing to commit to their goals. I have strong work ethic, dedication, intensity and an excellent ability to coach". I believe in training the body as a whole and utilizing the muscle system the way it was designed by integrating compound movements that coincide with each persons goals.

Education

1995 Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in Exercise Science/Corporate Fitness. and 20 years of continuing education from sources like;

Tom has over 16 years of experience working in the fitness, athletic, and corporate industries in the Dallas area. The quality of training you will get from him is unmatched. Tom's experience includes; universities, rehab facilities, athletic facilities, elite golf clinics, country clubs, corporate gyms, big box health clubs, small private training studios, as well as private home gyms, and has been certified C.S.C.S., and Insured by the National Strength & Conditioning Association since 1995. Considered by many, one of the BEST personal trainers in Dallas for the past 16 years.

Tom has been a competitive athlete since the age of 5, including but not limited to; NJCAA Football for College of DuPage (ranked top 10 nationally in 1989 and 1990), and NCAA 1A Southern Illinois Salukis from 1991 to 1993. Since then, Tom has competed in the North Texas MSBL (Baseball), NORBA & DORBA mountain bike racing, and USARA & USA Adventure Racing. In 1995 and most of 1996 Tom was the Head Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for Northern Illinois University as well as the Interim Head Strength Coach from Feb to May in 1996. Tom Moved to Dallas in August of 1996.
