Personal Trainer Overview

I'm a Personal Trainer/Coach with over 6 years of experience currently training at a gym or in home. I use methods that are adjustable to the clients needs,desires, and tools that are available. I enjoy using all tools available in the fitness industry such as conventional weights dumbell/barbells/cardio machines all the way to Kettlebells, TRX suspension, Plyometric or using no weights at all.

I have trained people of all ages, from 12-63 yrs old. Also I have brought major results to athletes, body sculpting clients, and even those in great shape that have reached plateaus.

Training Philosophy

I do not believe in a "cookie cutter" fitness philosophy - all of us have unique genetic backgrounds, different athletic histories, and even injuries. Having said that, Personal Training is exactly as it says - PERSONAL.

I believe in assessing my clients level of stamina, health, strength, and mobility then adjusting our workouts dependent on those results.

For basic level fitness clients I ease them in by using sets and more basic movements and in time the workouts get harder dependent on the bodies readiness to move forward. ITS ALL ABOUT PROGRESSIONS.

Form and correct lifting are imperative to me. Without correct form while performing movements one can set their self up for injury or postural deviations. Form is every bit as important as intensity and weight of load.

REMEMBER HARD WORK AND SAFETY ARE NEVER AT ODDS WHEN IN TRAINING.

Education

I'm certified through International Sports and Sciences Association as a Personal Trainer.

I've done internships under many Personal Trainers learning new ideas and ways to use different workout.

I have been trained to use:

Kettlebells, TRX/suspension, own bodyweight excercises, olympic movements, and metabolic conditioning circuits.

2006-2008 Internship with Cedar Hill High School as an assistant Running Backs/Linebacker football coach (2006 State Champions)

Bio

Im 28 yrs old and was born and raised in Dallas. I have always had an inclination in liking the fitness industry and athletics. As a teen I was very overweight at one point weighing as much as 230lbs at only 5'6"! I spent many years trying to lose the fat but with only minimal results due to nutritional and training ignorance.

Being overweight is what got me asking questions and finding new ways to attack my goals. And my personal fitness goals are what eventually lead me to learning from some of the top fitness trainers in Dallas. I learned many of their ideas and was able to use them for myself. After a while I realized I could use those ideas with other people when I realized I had a passion for training and coaching. The cool thing is now I have many new ideas and theories of my own.
