Bio

Ron is a connoisseur of sorts, most of which have nothing to do with anything fancy. He is a child of the 80’s, raised by the Autobots and trained by the All American GI-Joe.

Ron spent his youth playing soccer and weight training. In his early twenties he discovered Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee's Martial Art. Ron was fortunate enough to learn from some of the leading experts in the field, including Sifu Dino Orfanos, Sifu Ted Wong, and Sifu Chris Kent. Ron spent two years instructing Jeet Kune Do at New York Martial Arts Academy. It was through Jeet Kune Do that Ron learned the importance of the mind and body connection, which has become the foundation of his philosophy on Personal Training.

Ron was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 . Ron first began coaching at CrossFit Costa Mesa and CrossFit Balboa in Southern California. At CrossFit Balboa Ron spent time learning from former NFL offensive lineman - John Welbourne and Olympic Weightifting coach Max Mormont.

Ron has been a Personal Trainer since 2008. His diverse athletic experience is the key to his clients success, both inside and outside the gym.

He is the owner of CrossFit Greenpoint, as well as the head club coach of The Armory. He has competed in CrossFit (regional level) and Weightlifting (National level).

When not coaching, you can find Ron lifting weights, browsing the internet for cute pictures of cats, and organizing clutter into matching shapes and sizes.
