Personal Trainer Overview

My adult fitness clients thrive in my 3 day a week, 40 minutes per workout outdoor small group fitness classes that emphasize a blend of strength, cardio, agility, and mobility exercises using numerous equipment modalities such as kettlebells, dumbbells, sandbags, resistance bands, TRX suspension trainers, agility ladders, etc...

I also offer athletic development training for middle and high school athletes in any sport who are looking to get an edge and improve their overall athletic ability.

Training Philosophy

My adult fitness classes are designed to take clients through a 3 day a week, 40 minutes per session workout regimen. We always start off with a 10 minute thorough dynamic warmup and progress into various interval formats that blend total body strength and cardio exercises. My work to rest ratios are very well thought out and make my clients comfortable knowing that they can workout at a good pace without getting too fatigued early in the workout. We always finish with a workout "finisher" that generally speaking is a 5 minute calisthenic exercise based activity that burns tons of calories and leaves clients feeling refreshed and energized.

My youth athlete clients go through dynamic warmup, speed, agility, strength, and mobility training that gets them to understand and feel how their bodies are supposed to move and perform efficiently, explosively, and athletically during their sport activities.

Bio

After graduating at SJSU in 1990 , I was a teacher and football coach at the high school level for 17 years. After that experience, I decided to become a business owner and formed my company, GET ATHLETIC, which was designed to work with youth athletes in performance training for their sports activities. I expanded my business structure to include adult fitness boot camps after many parents of my youth clients personally came to me and asked me to do so after seeing the benefits their kids were having. It has been a great addition and my adult clients have loved it and really improved their fitness.
