Personal Trainer Overview

As a trainer I look and the indivual and what they need to achieve to improve their physical abilities for a better life. I design doable programs for success. Whether it be to lose 20lbs of body fat, increase cardio endurance or just work on stabillity and balance. I am very "results driven" and use functional training, nutrition counceling and accountability to get my clients to their success point.

Training Philosophy

My goal is to get my clients to actually "BE FIT" not just look fit. Anyone can do a crash diet or be a weekend warrior, but at the end of the day its about functioning in lifes challenges and actually having the strength, balance, endurance and healthy nutrition to making you a well functioning person without injury. I employ functional training into all my workouts, getting the body conditioned to handle real life movement patterns and working with our body weight. I also find that mixing up routines and making exercise enjoyable and interesting helps people find their own exercise passion. You don't have to be a runner or cooridinated dancer to "Be Fit" but you do need a program and consistency to get on you on the right path.

Education

I graduated with a BA from Eastern Washington University in 1997.I became a group fitness instructor through American Fitness and Aerobics Association teaching groupkick boxing, BOSU Circuit training and bootcamps in 2006. Attained my first CPT license through AFAA in 2007 and have since continued with my education attaining my certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am DotFIT Nutrition Specialist and have training in MADD DOG spinn, Muay Thai Kick Boxing and TRX Suspension and Rip Training systems.
