Training Philosophy

All trainers at Elite Sports Performance are trained in High Intensity Training (HIT) principles. We are one of the only Sports Performance centers in the area that offers this unique form of training. HIT training is one of the fastest ways to improve strength and muscular endurance and will significantly decrease your chance of injury. The HIT technique focuses on the “perfect rep” which is one of the most overlooked fitness methods by most coaches and athletes. This entails a slow-controlled rep that minimizes momentum and maximizes muscle tension and fiber recruitment. In turn, this produces optimal strength gains through the entire strength curve for the primary muscles performing the lift. It also significantly reduces an individual’s risk of musculoskeletal injuries. At Elite, all trainers are taught the HIT method through individualized training with Peter Rappoli, MS,CCS,CSCS.
