Personal Trainer Overview

I have been training for a couple years now and am experienced in a myriad of techniques and styles. My focus tends to be cross training and body weight exercises. Workouts are fast paced and non-stop, burning the same amount of energy in less time, thus being able to complete more and achieve a higher level of fitness. My training is different, challenging and extremely fun! Train for life and reach your peak!

Training Philosophy

I hold the ancient romans methodologies of fitness in high regard. During the Roman Empire's reign, the civilization was in the best physical condition in history. Men aged 17-60 were eligible for the military draft. It was necessary for all citizens to remain in outstanding physical condition and be prepared for service. Training consisted of functional exercise that would translate into the field of battle and ultimately life in general (running,aerobics,strength training, calisthenics, etc.). I believe in training for life, therefore I implement many functional exercises into each and every workout. This requires me to use many different methods including weight training, cardio, mobility/flexibility training, circuit workouts, and fitness tests. Using each technique in some way ensures we hit each level of fitness and ultimately reach your peak!

I chose to be a personal trainer so I can give someone the feeling of power and achievement and knowing you took your life by the wheel and steered it where you wanted it to go. I know I can get ANYONE to where they want to be, not only in fitness but in life. Whether you want to shed some weight for summer or if you need to improve your health, WE will get there together! This journey will not be taken alone and I am thankful and fortunate to be so lucky as to have a career where I can help improve people lives. Let's do this!

Bio

My motivation comes from inside myself. I was my own first client. I had always been a chubbier child and I never really "lost my baby fat". I played football since I was 8, my position was held on the offensive line so it was a problem being a bigger dude, in fact it was encouraged. When I got to high school I had noticed that I was in much worse shape than my peers. It really didn't bother me that much because I was the class clown and could just laugh it off, but it got to a certain point where I felt truly unhealthy. That's when i decided it was time to do something about it. My peak weight was around 210 pounds and on a guy with my frame, that's big. I started a routine based on past knowledge of sports training and weight training classes I took in school. I loved it. I was addicted to it. It gave me a feeling of power, in the best way possible. I had the power to take my life into my own hands and change my health and fitness for the better. My life changed vastly even at the start of my journey. I felt better when i started to workout and eat right. I started small and cut soda and sweets and worked out maybe a few times a week. I noticed better sleep, better mood, better mind and mostly a better body. Though the weight loss was gradual it was immense. In total I lost roughly 50 lbs and I came out a new person, with a better more positive outlook on life.
