Bio

My serious interest in fitness began the day my mother talked my brother's Taekwondo instructor into taking a slightly-undersized, frizzy-haired, six-year-old girl on as a student. I was fascinated with movement and with parental support, I learned as much as I could about martial arts, dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading.

As I reached adolescence, I realized that developing coordination and honing technique wouldn't make me reach my full potential without a third ingredient: strength. I started reading everything I could about diet and exercise for building strength and health. It was hard to find accurate information, but I did my best. I even daydreamed about opening up my own gym one day.

Then I moved to college, shook up my routine, and struggled to find ways to stay healthy. Without my trusted coaches, I didn't know how to continue my training. I tried going to the gym, but my workouts lacked consistency and focus. Things just got worse when I landed my first big-girl job and began spending most of my day stuck sitting at a desk and clicking a screen. The more I read and researched about how humans are really supposed to move, eat, sleep and live for optimum physical and emotional well-being, the more my modern adult lifestyle seemed to be a threat to my health and happiness.

So after a lot of consideration, I quit my desk-jockey job and delved into a fitness career. I've never been happier, and I want you to feel that way too. Returning to a passion for fitness, coaching, and learning, I'm here today to help you find your own way to optimal fitness and overall well-being.
