Bio

Hi, I'm Mike Worden and welcome to the Optimum Performance Fitness website. I'm an A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise) certified Personal Trainer, a former Master Fitness by Phone® Coach. I also have my certification as a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). NLP is a communication skill most associated with the success of Personal Development Speaker Anthony Robbins. I have used this skill not only in helping my clients get past procrastination but I have also been a facilitator for numerous workshops and seminars.

I've been offering people the opportunity to change their lives through the benefits of activity since 1998.

I originally purchased this business from its founder and my close friend, Chris Helwig, who then moved on to fulfill his passion as a competitive cycling coach.

My whole thing for being healthy is about performance.

For me it’s about getting up in the morning racing around scarfing down breakfast and starting my work day and performing at my best.

Life is supposed to be about not getting sick . Being able to maintain the same level of enthusiasm at 9 o’clock at night as I had at 9 o’clock that morning. Staying focused.

I have dedicated my life to improving people’s lives with my experience, passion and knowledge to help teach them how to life with a healthy active lifestyle and a positive mental attitude. I enjoy helping those people who are challenged by a lack of time or motivation and wish to do things that will benefit them in their health and daily performance.

The theory behind my interests in promoting the benefits of physical activity?

From 1995 to 1997 I trained and competed in Drug Free Body Building through the NGA (National Gym Association) in the north eastern United States. At that time I worked with a Trainer by the name of Doug Langford who facilitated seminars and workshops to promote drug free development. Through trial and error I have come to a point where a lot of people out there have had a lot of unanswered questions.
