Personal Trainer Overview

My priority is helping you learn the skills to take control of your physical well-being. From building good lifestyle habits, to proper strength training technique, to fat loss and conditioning programming, I'll help you take control of your life and prepare for whatever physical challenges you face. Training isn't just about what you do in the gym. It's about habits, your attitude, and good coaching. I'll help with all three.

Training Philosophy

I’ve been interested in physical development since I was in middle school. I remember spending hours in my living room or basement doing endless pushups and sit-ups. My first “weights” were gallon water jugs. I was skinny kid. I was weak and a terrible athlete. I hated how I looked and how I felt, and I desperately wanted respect.

I found the weight room in high school and started training before or after work at my local YMCA. I tried every program I could find. One time, one of the female trainers had to lift a bar off me after I got stapled to the bench while bench pressing. I remember that embarrassment, but it drove me to get better. 6 years later, in 2012, I’d gained 60 pounds of muscle and lost 30 pounds of fat along the way. I could lift weights that I’d only dreamed of. I was stronger, healthier, and happier than I’d ever been. The journey continues today.

In college I began helping people transform their bodies and minds the same way I had, and I’ve been doing so ever since. Everyone wants to be lean and feel fit, but what about the other qualities you gain while working toward these goals? Discipline, resilience, focus, tenacity: these attributes, when applied to your life outside the gym, will revolutionize you. Physical fitness doesn’t just benefit you physically.

BA - Belmont University, Magna Cum Laude

Clients include law enforcement officers, weekend warriors, moms, dads, models, middle and high school athletes, and senior citizens.

Bio

I was never very athletic. I've had to fight for every bit of physical change that I've wanted to see in myself, but that battle has made me who I am today. I've been frustrated, quit programs and diets, and given up on my goals before. But I've always been able to dig deep, find my reason why, and keep going. I can help you do the same.
