Personal Trainer Overview
In LA Personal trainers are a dime a dozen and its hard for the average person to really tell the difference between those who will best serve them, and those who won't. I pride myself on being very in tune with the needs of others as well as being very in touch with body awareness. This, paired with my own competitive bodybuilding background allows me to very effectively address peoples individual needs and make the greatest impact on their physiques in a shorter amount of time. Of course, rome wasn't built in a day, but if you aren't with the right trainer, it will definitely take more time then you might like. All that said, I believe whole body health is just as, if not more important then the way you look, and ultimately taking care of yourself from the inside out will lead to looking brighter, healthier and feeling great in addition to your new 6 pack abs.
Training Philosophy
I come from a background of high-level competitive figure skating as a child, which included a lot of dance-making Pilates and yoga a big part of my training history. This is important because as an adult I got into competitive bodybuilding, which is a very different skill set and yet I believe having both these backgrounds in my arsenal allows me to address a wider array of issues and help people to reach their goals more effectively and efficiently. Bodybuiling is very different then strength training and for that reason I have made an effort to learn from and work with power lifters in order to be able to draw from that educations as well. However, training as a bodybuilder is the best education when it comes to "body sculpting" or trying to change your shape. As a trainer I believe it is important to start everyone at square one to make sure they have good body awareness and to correct muscle imbalances before moving along- I myself have suffered a few injuries and want to ensure I help others take all necessary steps to prevent injuries for themselves. That, and learning proper form and body alignment ultimately enhances all other areas of training, allowing one to advance faster and reach their goals sooner. I am a big fan of HIIT, resistance training, body weight exercises, plyometrics and yoga and pilates, but most importantly I am a big fan of learning your body and your needs and using what it takes to get you where you want to go

Bio
I am a NorthWest Native who moved to LA only two years ago to find some sun and more opportunity. I had always been a trainer and thought I was coming here to find other dreams but really discovered even more how much I felt this was a calling for me. I love getting outdoors, reading what ever I can about the human body and training everyday. I also love to cook and my little Boston Terrier.
