Personal Trainer Overview

At Cheyenne Barbell, I focus on large, multi-joint, weighted movements to make each client as strong as they want to get in the safest and most efficient way possible. Clients will be taught how to Squat, Press (overhead), Deadlift and Bench Press with some clients learning a few more dynamic lifts if warranted. I will program your training, advise you on diet, review your lifts in person/remotely and drive your progress through the use of Intensity and Volume as indicated by your performance.

Training Philosophy

I use the scientific principles of Stress/Recovery/Adaptation and Specificity to ensure each client trains in the most efficient way based upon their needs and abilities. Most training will consist of Squatting, Pressing, Deadlifting and Bench Pressing but additional exercises and, levels of intensity/volume are utilized as needed. Everyone has a place where they can start and it doesn't matter if you 20 or 80, of your male or female, if your skinny or fat ... The training allows for you to start where it works for you and to build slowly and steadily toward a stronger and better you.

Bio

I came to strength the hard way after becoming very overweight, then becoming very underweight and running that sign wave for many years until I found the Starting Strength methodology and fell in love with the process of getting strong. I no longer consider scale weight but I very much consider bar weight. I'm more concerned with PR's than appearance but amazingly enough, that has come with it. I am healthier, happier, generally more useful and now I want to share the process with everyone.
