Bio
became an avid runner. Following the diagnosis of several chronic illnesses and
pregnancy-related weight gain, she returned to school in order to pursue a career in a field she is passionate about, in order to help herself and others become healthier and
stronger.
Coming from a full-time corporate job, having a family, and caring for an aging parent
she is able to relate to almost any circumstance that life can throw out. She understands
how to plan and prepare each day and make exercise a priority, even when it seems
impossible. Taking care of oneself is the key to being able to take care of others.
Having degrees in both exercise physiology and nutrition allows for a complete health
and fitness package to be presented to each client. This means that she can create a
exercise plan tailored to your fitness needs and goals while helping you fuel your body
so it can perform at its best. Whether your goal is to lose excess weight or gain
strength, tone, and define muscle she will develop a plan for you, hold you accountable
and push you to reach your goals.
She’s a firm believer that “mind leads, body follows”. Meaning if you set your mind to
doing something, believe that you can, and work hard then you’ll be successful. It’s all
about attitude and choosing whether to accept or fight against the hand you’re dealt.
Choosing to live a healthy lifestyle that includes daily exercise is the key to preventing
and/or reversing many chronic diseases and illnesses. One client, in particular, suffers
from Afib, and following a training plan has successfully increased heart strength and
cardio respiration and as a result, has increased energy and stamina for everyday
activity. Another client was able to reach her goal of gaining enough strength and
stamina to complete a half marathon. Another client suffering from Type 2 Diabetes was able to successfully lower her A1C levels with balanced nutrition and customized
exercise plans.
She continues to expand her knowledge in order to help and support others who strive
