Personal Trainer Overview

I believe that personal training is not purely physical, but mental and emotional as well. As a wellness coach and personal trainer, I'm equipped to work with clients to write a wellness vision and tailor goals to that vision, as well as develop a physical training plan that one can truly enjoy.

Training Philosophy

I primarily use total body resistance training to build muscle and endurance, strengthen the body's systems, reduce body weight and chronic disease risk. I am also a huge proponent of finding activities that you truly enjoy, and using that as a means for exercise. I do not advocate for dieting or diet plans, instead, I subscribe to "clean eating" in which one reduces processed foods, cooks favorite dishes with healthy swaps, and learns portion sizes.

Education

Masters of Exercise Science and Health Promotion, Wellness & Fitness

Experience in working with weight loss clients, designing fitness and nutrition camp-style education for K-5 children, and first responder fitness.

Bio

Hi, I'm Katelyn! I'm a wife, mom of two boys, volunteer firefighter, living in the country with our dogs. I enjoy hunting, standup paddleboarding, flying with my husband, and being active in our church. I've lost over 100 pounds myself and I work hard to maintain that every day. I know what it feels like to start, and what it takes to continue, and I can't wait to help someone else define health and wellness for their lives!
