Personal Trainer Overview

As the owner of Upward Spiral Fitness and Nutrition Coaching, I will bring the gym to you along with extensive knowledge about choosing the right foods to fuel yourself with while implementing my program.

Training Philosophy

My mission as a personal trainer is to educate my clients about exercise, diet, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, while empowering them to make the most of their abilities: through knowledge, direction and encouragement. I inspire clients to take an active interest in accomplishing their goals, and I welcome their input and feedback throughout the entire training process. Each training relationship is a collaboration of working together to make things happen.

Upon moving to Oregon from NYC 10 years ago, I found myself struggling with weight gain. I hired a personal trainer who inspired, motivated and helped me to achieve and exceed my fitness goals through diet and exercise. I lost body fat, got stronger and was able to do (and lift!) things I could not have imagined.

I chose then to share the knowledge that he instilled in me and to embolden people (especially women!) to also do things –like pushups off their knees! - that they never thought they could.

As your Personal Trainer I will educate you about living a healthier life and give you the tools to make it a permanent life style. Training is not just about lifting weights to be stronger and have good definition, it’s also about being good to your body with proper nutrition and having a strong core with the ability to function properly in your day to day activities.

I specialize in creating full body workouts that will help you achieve your goals in an effective and efficient way so that you can continue on with your busy day. I will teach you to work smarter, not harder!

I have worked with clients ranging in age from 15-85 as well as clients dealing with physical limitations. Among my clientele are post rehab patients recovering from hip and knee replacements, shoulder, back and ankle surgeries, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and neuropathy.

Remember, it is the small consistent daily improvements that are the key to BIG long term changes and RESULTS!
