Personal Trainer Overview
Training Philosophy
My small group training workouts are similar to that of a combat athlete preparing for competition. Don't be alarmed though:) In other words, each session consists of both strength & conditioning exercises, and requires solid mental stamina in addition to physical toughness. This allows the clients to train effectively, while allowing me to give each of them individual attention, when applicable. (Small group clients must have a solid base of mobility, strength and conditioning).
Nutrition coaching is included in training services (mainly for individual training) or can be a stand alone service. It is designed to tap into the psychology of who you are as an eater, which will help you transition to healthy eating habits, including suggestions on when to use quality supplements.
Wellness coaching is a stand alone service. To put it short, my definition of wellness is well rounded blend of being physically fit, have good nutritional habits and the ability to control your emotions and thoughts. Through this service, I help you achieve this.

Bio
As I looked for solutions to increase my fitness level, I remember thinking about my favorite sport, boxing, then it clicked! You see, boxers are widely known as the most conditioned athletes in the world. Since they compete in weight classes, their training and eating have to be dialed in. The nature of their sport forces them to train & eat optimally to compete at a high level. While I am not a professional boxer, I still have an active life and need to keep my body and mind at peak level. During this time of transition, I worked a desk job during the day, trained clients in the evenings and recently had married my fiancé, who was pregnant with our first child on the way. Needless to say, I had a lot going on and knew that I needed to adjust my training and eating to accommodate my lifestyle. ( side note: I now am a proud father of a beautiful son and daughter:).
As I continued to study the fitness training and nutrition habits of top boxers and other elite athletes, I began to implement these concepts in my life and the results have been outstanding! My energy and focus have become Zen like, which keep me in tuned to how my body/mind reacts to training. Once I experienced the mental/physical changes that occurred, I made the decision to dedicate my life to the study/practice of enhancing human performance.
