I am a personal fitness and nutrition expert with years of experience in helping people of all shapes and sizes to permanently lose the weight and get healthy for good. I am the owner of L.I.U. Fitness.

We come to your home or health club and we’ll work outdoors as well. (Two private studios will be coming soon in Medina & Maple Heights.)

Training Philosophy

What is fitness?

The definition of Fitness is a state of being healthy, which will prepare the body for the physical demands of daily life. To be more precise, fitness provides stamina, strength, and flexibility for the body to function properly. Fitness is the perfect solution to living a fine-tuned life.

There are five main components of fitness. They are aerobic endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, body composition, and flexibility. A combination of the right kind of physical and mental exercises as well as the proper intake of nutritious foods will determine the level of one’s fitness.

Being fit lowers the risks of many health related issues such as cardio-vascular problems, obesity, depression, and habitual inactivity. Fitness makes one feel relaxed and full of energy throughout the day as well as helping to prevent age-related problems.

Staying physically fit does not require spending countless hours in a gym. It is a balance of improving all the components of fitness to become more mobile and active. One of the biggest problems in our society today is that people just don’t get enough physical activity throughout their day. Spending a large part of the day sitting in front of a computer has caused an epidemic of overweight out of shape people.

Any physical activity is good for the body provided it is done safely. Exercises such as walking, biking, swimming, and jogging can energize the body. The human body was designed to work. It is important to choose a method of exercise that one enjoys and can do safely without injuring the joints of the body.

The fitness industry has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry. There are multipurpose gyms popping up all over and info commercials selling the latest exercise equipment. There is definitely not a shortage of ways to get fit. The challenge for most people is to take the first step and simply decide to become healthier and commit to it. Every individual has different likes and interests. Where one may enjoy the calmness of yoga and meditation another may enjoy a rough run through some tough terrain. Finding an exercise mode that fits your own personality will provide for much greater success in becoming more healthy and physically fit.

At L.I.U. Fitness, each individual program is just that, individual, because each person possesses his or her own needs, goals, and desires. And although our philosophy is based on an extremely individual approach, every client is mindfully coached to attain their own personal best in mind, body and spirit.
