Personal Trainer Overview
My focus for you is overall health. I focus on total body fitness with emphasis on three things; regular exercise, proper nutrition and adequate rest. With this focus I can help you reach the unreachable.
Training Philosophy
Fitness is a lifestyle with the primary goal of overall health. The only way to achieve that is the process of regular exercise, proper nutrition and adequate rest. The idea is to get you to the point so that you can live life on a daily basis with plenty of energy and vigor without the use of medicines or physical aids so that you have enough energy left over to enjoy the leisurely activities in life. Exercises consist of both resistance and cardiovascular exercises as well of flexibility and core training, combined with proper eating guide lines and ways to manage stress. I have experience working with people from ages of 8-91, normal healthy people, athletes, people with numerous medical conditions; diabetes, cardiovascular disease, Scoliosis, MS, sports rehab, cancer, overweight and more. The focus is creating a overall healthy lifestyle, Fitness is a Lifestyle!!
Education
I have less than a year to go before I complete my BA in Kinesiology. I have 20 years of personal training and about 6 years of fitness management. I have experience in free weights, exercise bands, medicine balls, boot camps, sports conditioning (all sports), group exercise, flexibility training, injury and surgery rehabilitation, exercise for high-risk population, the elderly and more.
Bio
I am a retired Army veteran of 22 1/2 years. I have been working the personal training field for 20 years, I have 5 years of fitness management, 3 years in the Army as a Fitness Center manager and 3 years as a weekend manager at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas Texas. Fitness is a passion for me and helping people reach their fitness goals is what I enjoy doing.
