Personal Trainer Overview

What can I say about strength training? From squats to ropes, monkey bars to hand stands, it’s the combo of metabolic conditioning, resistance training, functional movement, gymnastics and running on every surface that builds you. This is a process made fun by variation and some healthy and safe standards of training. We wrap Jiu-Jitsu drills, boxing movements, Israeli self defense skills, proper resistance exercises, plyometrics, gymnastics and running into simple exercise groups. Then you do the work -with a coach to guide you in proper movements.

We are the training culture for the busy guy or gal who doesn’t need competition beyond work to motivate their training. We don’t pull people into the gym. You have to get there on your own steam. But once there, in our little world, we lead. This is a do it now get academic about it later culture. It’s not for babies or sissies. We laugh at excuses. We support good effort and successful and safe sequencing of movements that build functional strength without injury.

Long-winded? Save your breath. Do the heavy breathing on the gym floor where it counts. And be safe –to, during and from the gym. Change your habits. Rise above your considerations. Don’t follow the Nay-Sayers who think interval training is dangerous or worse! That is such B.S.

We’re adults. And we’re trained to handle big people who have more to do than recover from injuries. Stop over-thinking this exercise thing. Invest in the most important person in your life. Hmmmm? Who might that be? We’ll show you in our latest interactive demonstration. Call the gym. We’ll give you 30 minutes to prove to yourself you can be coached and exercised without the boilerplate found in the big box clubs. What could be better than that?

Training Philosophy

Simple trumps everything! Exercise is broadband. Training is conative. Learning creates the hunger for your intrinsic motivation leading to mastery. Begin with the end in mind (who said that?) Stay consistent. Then add polish. Got it? Study and repeat.

Our job is to be the insurance policy between you and failure. Want a sucker punch to the gut? Then train in some legacy way without the nuances of the latest science.

Oh! You want to succeed? Well now you’re talkin’ our language. How about a little stage direction? That’s what our athletes pay us for. We keep exercise simple with direction and purpose. Add an exact goal to that mix and you have training.

Our credo: “We profoundly build better strength and athletic ability with simple exercise done incredibly well!” That’s it. It will sink in quickly. Just remember we are action people. “Do before you think…!”

Education

CrossFit, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Israeli Self Defense. These are the skills that I personally train in. We use kettlebells, Olympic weights, medicine balls of various types, ropes, tires, martial arts drills, and bodyweight exercises to get to our conditioning goals.
