Training Philosophy
The fitness lifestyle has motivated me to become a strong and confident woman, who is devoted to helping my clients build a love for fitness and movement. I enjoy combining my love of both fitness and nutrition when working with clients, and use an all-encompassing approach to create lifestyle change for each and every one of my clients.
I have a passion for helping women through their weight loss journeys, and gaining power and strength back over their bodies. I also specialize in high school clients looking to feel comfortable in their skin and build strength and healthy bodies.
I enjoy working with all types of skill levels, from the elite athlete with a passion for fitness, to the sedentary who dislike exercise but want to get healthy.
I love what I do and look forward to helping my clients each and every day through their body transformations. I take a calm and friendly approach to each client and bring my full enthusiasm to each and every session!
Education
With my Master's of Science in Applied Nutrition with a concentration in fitness, I completed courses such as exercise physiology, motivational behavior change, sports psychology, sports nutrition, biology, human metabolism, and more.
I also hold my NASM certified personal trainer certificate and have completed specialty courses in weight loss, nutrition, children's fitness, and fitness for seniors through NASM.
I am a former AFFA group fitness certified instructor with experience teaching spin, Zumba, dance cardio, and boot camp classes.
Additionally I hold my level one CrossFit Certificate.
Bio
During this time, I struggled with an eating disorder and used weight lifting as a way to get back to a healthy weight. My passion for fitness grew and I swapped my ballet shoes for sneakers, becoming certified as an AFFA group fitness instructor and NASM certified personal trainer. During this time I also received my Master’s of Science in Applied Nutrition from Northeastern University with a concentration in fitness. I suddenly learned the power in finding pride for what my body could do, rather than what it looked like in the mirror. Fitness has given me back so much of my life and I am committed to sharing my passion for it with as many people as I can. Practicing nutrition has also given me an outlet to support other women on their journey to a better body image along with improved health. I am now proud to call myself an athlete and can’t wait to help others do the same.
