Personal Trainer Overview

The type of training done at RUGGED STRONG ATHLETICS is not for everyone, but anyone can get results by training with us. Results are not guaranteed, they are earned.

Programs for men, women, and teens. 90% of our current clients are women. Don't be afraid, ladies!!

Run, jump, row, push, pull, throw, and lift your way to a better body.

Use your body, kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, sandbags, medicine balls, plyo boxes, jump ropes, tires, and weighted sleds to increase your strength and conditioning.

Improve your ability to function and move in everyday life.

Training Philosophy

RUGGED STRONG ATHLETICS is not a health club. We are a private, bare bones, training and fitness facility. We do not have a juice bar, useless equipment, or a TV. We are primarily operated out of a warehouse gym. A local park is the secondary training location. Every time you come train, you will be coached. Unlike most gyms, we require that you work with a personal trainer. We believe that quality coaching gets better results and prevents injury.

Education

Certified Personal Trainer

NASM fitness trainer certification means the most to sports professionals, club owners and fitness department managers because it requires comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design.

Movement and Mobility

A performance oriented workshop for athletes and coaches wishing to develop effective mobility and flexibility strategies, improve ideal athlete positioning and movement set-up, and implement whole-body maintenance practices. Attendees will understand how to: Improve force production, increase work outputs, avoid common and preventable movement dysfunction and injury, and understand how to address simple performance related myo-fascial and joint mobility issues.

Bio

Three months before my 21st birthday, I decided to join a gym. I started lifting weights, walking on a treadmill, and took some boxing and kick boxing classes. I also overhauled my diet. Within 3 months, I lost 40 pounds. This was the beginning of my "new" life. This was 15 years ago. I have continued to maintain my weight and improve my fitness.
