Personal Trainer Overview
I use metabolic resistance training, interval based cardio, and manageable meal strategies to help my clients lose weight and transform their bodies. In addition to education and guidance, my clients benefit from the social support of the amazing community of women who train at Fit Club.
Training Philosophy
I believe in providing my clients with efficient exercise routines, manageable meal strategies, and social support to achieve their body transformation goal. My exercise hierarchy for clients is as follows: resistance training, high intensity interval training, moderate to low intensity cardio. You need to maintain (and possibly build) muscle to maximize your metabolism which makes the process of losing weight and creating a tight, athletic body with feminine curves enjoyable. I do NOT believe in spending hours daily in the gym. It simply is not necessary if your fitness and nutrition plans are optimized.
I believe your transformation (exercise and nutrition) approach should be designed to be enjoyable and sustainable because your ability to stick to the program will determine your chance of success.

Bio
I am Concita Thomas, owner and head coach of Great Shape Fit Club. It is my life’s purpose and passion to help women escape the frustrating failed fitness program cycle and finally take control of their personal fitness, health, and happiness. As a former diet center and big box gym patron, I understand the frustration first hand when the person you entrust to lead you in the direction of better health is either inexperienced or insensitive to your real life struggles with getting in shape. I believe that every woman deserves the information, inspiration, and support to discover the best version of herself. It is my mission to ensure that every woman in my reach who wants that opportunity is given a chance. I am not the perfect, ripped year round coach who never eats a morsel of anything unhealthy, or has never been any bigger than a size 6. I am a real woman with a husband, child, career, and friends much like the women I coach and I know that my past struggles and constant need to adjust my own approach with each new season in my life makes me better able to serve them in a helpful, honest, and non-judgmental way.
My personal and professional certifications and accomplishments include: National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition Licensee, Certified Metabolic Training Specialist, author of, “Emergency Fitness Plan”, professional fitness consultant to the media including local newspapers and Mill Duathlon finisher, top finisher in various obstacle course races, and former figure athlete with the National Physique Committee.
