Personal Trainer Overview
Fitness is hard to maintain and usually made as a “one size fits all” plan. Welcome to the lifestyle that makes it possible for you! I'm Christina, an athlete and motivational speaker residing in Central Florida, living with type 1 diabetes. Stronger Than 1 - Fitness League is the training community and more affordable personal training model I created to help overcome these obstacles for adults with or without type 1, type 2, or pre-diabetes. *Your first session is completely free so that you can make sure this program is for you!* Wonderful individualized program: In-person training, virtual semi-private training (small group), nutrition support and access to a dietitian with type 1 diabetes, blood sugar management for diabetics while active, and fun community meet ups with people who care about their health just like you! We are not a gym. We are not a diet. We are a lifestyle that makes us Stronger Than One.
Training Philosophy
First, I believe that the coach-client relationship is a partnership. I will give you the tools that have been scientifically proven to work, but you know your body best and you know what interests you. We use all of this to create an individualized program that you actually enjoy and is made just for you. Each program checks off all the boxes for nationally recommended health guidelines and incorporates 5 years of feedback I've received from over 100 warrior clients: appropriate strength training, cardio, joint mobility, nutrition support, and a community of people who care about their health just like you! Additionally, I have type 1 diabetes and also specialize in working with people with type 1, type 2, or pre-diabetes.
Education
-Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (with Minor in Psychology)

Bio
After I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13 years old, I started a club at my high school that today, is a non-profit organization providing every-day support to Central Florida families impacted by diabetes. Two years ago, I became the first female with type 1 diabetes to compete on NBC's American Ninja Warrior. I am now proud to help empower both children, adults with dreams of accomplishing great things, and those with diabetes to create their own paths to success and help others to do the same, through personal training in Central Florida, and as a motivational speaker around the country!
