Personal Trainer Overview

I use a variety of training styles including power lifting techniques, general strength training, cardio intervals and plyometrics to help you meet your fitness or weight loss goals.

Training Philosophy

I view the body as one complete unit that must achieve balance in all its many facets to become healthy and function properly. This includes mobility and flexibility, strength and power, and nutritional intake. Every person, while being different, has the same potential to make life changing strides.

By combining theories from different schools of exercise thought and working with the natural systems of the body I aim to help my clients reach their goals as well as achieve overall fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Bio

For 15 years I pursued a career in custom woodworking but as a result of the shifting economy and a realization that growth in the field was diminishing, I decided to change careers and follow my personal interest in good health and fitness. I enrolled at The National Personal Training Institute and spent six months in intensive study and hands-on training in physical fitness, strength training, nutrition and overall physical wellness. Shortly after I graduated I attained the Advanced Personal Training Certification (A-CPT) and began training.

Given my career switch I am somewhat of an outsider to the conventional gym environment and that gives me a different perspective and philosophy on personal training. Through my education at NPTI and previous career experience in woodworking I was able to unite and come to a more cohesive understanding of the human body and its functionality. Just as a piece of furniture needs strength, stability and balance to both perform and look its best, so does the human body.

I offer clients a unique opportunity to help them achieve their fitness goals as well as an overall healthy lifestyle for everyday living.
