Personal Trainer Overview

I use an individualized approach to create a comprehensive strength training program based off of my clients goals, experience and injury history. There is no cookie cutter one size fits all approach with my clients. Everyone is different, everyone has different goals and limitations and it's my job to develop a plan that works for YOU and not just the latest bro science. I teach all of my clients to safely and progressively strength train using barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells while blending in the appropriate amount of cardio to maximize results. Whether your goal is to deadlift 400lbs or get your 2 mile time down, I can help.

Training Philosophy

Much like my core values, my training philosophy is essentially a list of guidelines that I fall back on when I’m writing a training program, an individual workout or when learning something new. These values aren’t static, I try to revisit them as often as possible but as of now (September 10,2020) this is what I believe in. Strength First: no matter the goal, strength is going to have the greatest impact to everything we endeavor in. Start Light: you can always add weight to the bar, be patient and master your technique. Use Big Movements: prioritize the movements that target the most muscle through the most effective range of motion. Consistency: a program you can’t adhere to is useless. Be honest and realistic, consistency will get you where you want to go. Work Your Weaknesses: maximize your strengths and chip away at your weaknesses everyday.

Bio

Hi, I’m Chris.

I am a Strength Coach based out of central Maryland about half way between Baltimore, DC and Annapolis. I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2013. Since my entry into the training world back in 2013 I’ve worked with hundreds of clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

I’ve worked with military/police/fire personnel, amateur and professional athletes, and everyday people who are tired of spinning their wheels and wasting time in the gym. Using simple and effective barbell strength training I have been able to make a meaningful difference in my clients lives.

There isn’t a person alive who won’t benefit from strength training and it’s my passion and goal to provide that guidance and information to help you live your strongest life possible.

So if you’re looking to learn, work hard, get strong and laugh at my bad jokes then you’ve come to the right place. If you’re looking for flavor of the month diet advice, 30 different ways to use a bosu ball or how to “tone up” you’ve come to the wrong place.

Let me show you why Strength Matters.
