Personal Trainer Overview

My methodology centers around changing lifestyle habits and living actively. I help clients find those activities which bring out their passions and drive them to live life to its fullest. A comprehensive program is imperative for the greatest health gains, but I really focus on core training. I utilize cross-training methods in nearly every client as part of a progressive exercise program, and I also help guide clients to finding a healthy balance in their eating habits. Further, I help them define realistic nutritional guidelines which fit into their unique lifestyle and can be continued long after goals are attained.

Training Philosophy

"I want to help you find freedom and feel comfortable in your own skin!" Society has painted this picture of the "perfect body". But I like to challenge this, and there is NOT one mold that each of us must fit into to feel like acceptible human beings. I believe that there is more to life and health than merely our physical state. It is important that each one of us learns to accept our individual bodies as they are, and embrace individual differences so that we can be free to be ourselves. I train in a way that is more based on how you feel about yourself, instead of how you look at yourself. I offer training styles that are challenging and give results, but that are also loads of fun and empowering!

Education

I have personal experience battling obesity, and have achieved and maintained weight loss of up to 76 lbs. I have continuing education credits in group fitness, nutrition, Pilates, and Yoga. I learned about Nutrition in undergrad studies. I also have training experience in Boot Camp instructing, stability ball, mind-body, and flexibility training. I have also studied Tai Chi, water aerobics, and kettlebell training.
