Personal Trainer Overview

The TWC mission is to provide sustainable, custom nutrition and exercise programs and instruction directed at achieving specific goals; to support and encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle for TWC clients.

Training Philosophy

Strong people live longer, happier, and more fulfilled lives. I believe that acquiring strength and fitness can be done in a healthy, time efficient, and sustainable manner. I believe in training according to what trusted research shows as most effective. I believe in spending as little time in the gym as needed to reach individual goals, in order to allow for quality of life outside of the gym.

Education

I earned a BS degree in Exercise Science with courses in Sports Nutrition, Exercise Metabolism, Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Sports Psychology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Weight Training. I graduated at the top of my class.

I have 4 years of experience in weight loss, muscle building, and aesthetics from participating and consistently placing top 5 in local physique contests, and competing at a national level for three years. I was a crossfit athlete for two years and an olympic weightlifting athlete for on year.

I have experience working with functional training, powerlifting, resistance bands, free weights, older adult training, stability, interval training, group fitness, sports conditioning, etc.

Bio

My love for physical activity began in My childhood days of romping around with my older brothers. I played basketball in high school and moved on to coaching the local recreational swimming team for a year and a half.

My Personal experience with lifting weights and interval training began during my senior year of high school and is still my preferred method of training. I was self-taught until 2010 when I committed to the Exercise Science program at Utah Valley University, where in 2012 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Since 2013 I have competed as an NPC Bikini athlete in three national level competitions and placed in six local competitions, including an overall bikini champion award.
