Then, there is her career in fitness. Cathy doesn’t mind telling you that she was overweight and sedentary at work and at home.
Cathy was introduced to the “superslow” concept of weight training in 2000, she lost 40 lbs in 6 months, adjusting her diet somewhat and following a twice a week strength training plan. She maintained that weight until January of 2010.
Cathy had a goal to do a fitness competition, she trained for 12 weeks and stepped on stage at 118 and 13 percent body fat. Although she did not place out of 6 ladies in her age group, her experience was invaluable. Determined to give it another shot, she went back to the weights and tried again.
In July 2010, she tried again and placed 6th in Masters Figure and 8th in Tall. See 2010 INBF SOUTHERN NATURAL Results Now she's pursuing the competition fitness world with a different outlook. She is still determined to win.
