Personal Trainer Overview

Personal training service offered at Onelife Fitness Tech Center in Newport News, Virginia. I incorporate different styles of training into a custom designed workout routine. Each workout is customized to fit the clients specific training goal.

Bio

My fitness journey began at the young age of 6 when my parents enrolled me in martial arts classes. After earning my black belt in Tae Kwon Doe just 4 years later, I decided to continue my fitness path with school sports. I competed in a variety of sports that included: basketball, soccer, wrestling, pole vault, and running. When starting high school, I decided to focus on long distance running, competing in high school and collegiate Cross Country and Track. Some of my personal bests include: 9 minutes 58 seconds for 2 miles, 16 minutes 21 seconds for 5km, 33 minutes 51 seconds for 10km, and 2 hours 58 minutes in the marathon.

After earning my Associates Degree in Pre-Physical Therapy from Monterey Peninsula College, I decided to join the United States Army as a Healthcare Specialist. My time in the Army in this position only assisted with the growth of my fitness knowledge. After switching to the Army Reserves so that I could continue my education, I wanted to continue to pass along my knowledge and help others achieve their fitness goals. I went on to earn my ACE Personal Trainer Certification and Revo2lution Running Certification and am currently studying for my

bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science.

Since I have earned my certifications, I have been able to aid a wide range of clients. I have developed and led group training sessions for soldiers that were recovering from musculoskeletal injuries. I have worked with clients one-on-one with goals that include snowboarding, preparing for rafting trips, running, and that have wanted to return to routine after some time away. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college athletes through sport specific training for sports such as: lacrosse, football, baseball, and soccer.

I enjoy watching the progress my clients make and seeing them achieve goals that they never though were possible. I look forward to learning more about your goals and for us to be able to achieve those goals together.
