Training Philosophy
I use a multitude of strength, core, stabilization and plyometric exercises to get my clients the results they need. I do not give standard cookie cutter workouts, everything is individualized for the client. I am now also offering group training and Fitranx testing. I have many different avenues that I can train with and I use all of them. Also, I heavily involve myself with your nutrition, seeing as 75% of your results come from your diet.
Bio
I have been working out since I was in the 6th grade. I played various sports all throughout my childhood and played varsity football in high school. That is where my foundation started. Throughout my early adulthood, I struggled to stay in the gym, as I'm sure many of you have. In 2010, I decided it was time to make time for myself and find that inner peace you find from a solid workout. I trained hard and got my diet right and 4 months later, I had put on 15 pounds of muscle and dropped 6 pounds of fat. It was around that time that I decided that I wanted to help change other people's lives in the same way. I took that same drive that I had in my workouts and used it towards becoming a personal trainer. I began working for 24 Hour Fitness in 2011 and my career flourished. My first and longest tenured client, is where it truly sank in that I was doing what I was being called to do. She came to me 55 pounds overweight at 57 years old and told me she was ready to make a change. Her knees hurt every time she walked up a flight of stairs. She did not know what a healthy lifestyle looked like. It was slow in the beginning, dealing with her limitations and she was frustrated at times, but I told her to trust me and I would get her to where she wanted to be. We slowly worked her into some complex workouts and the weight started coming off. There was a new light in her eyes! She wanted it more everyday she came to the gym. At 6 months, she had lost 30 pounds and was able to take Zumba classes and climb the stairmaster for an hour with no issues. At 12 months, she had hit her goal weight, losing 55 pounds and was in better shape than most of the people in the gym. To go from having knee problems and 55 pounds overweight, to being able to rep out single leg burpees and leg press 270 pounds at her age was astounding! It was a very emotional day for the both of us the day she hit her goal weight. This one example, is why I do what I do! I love that with strong will and hard work, and a clean diet of course, I can help people accomplish things they never dreamed they would be able to do.
