Personal Trainer Overview

Personal Strength Training w/Angela

2020 has been a challenging year for a lot of humans. One thing that has been pushed to the side as we navigate a new world filled with shut-downs, re-openings and lots and lots of masks is exercising, especially strength training.

-Have you noticed some extra thickness in the midsection due to what I like to call creative fueling? (Baking and the consuming the baked goodies during Covid-19 has become quite popular)

-Do you feel like you are ready to start with some consistent movement but having a hard time actually getting it to happen?

-Have you tried strength training in the past but quit because you weren’t sure what to do?

-Are you experiencing lower back fatigue, muscle twinges or just a sense of weakness in your limbs?

Whether you have done strength training

regularly and fell off track with the

Covid-19 detour, I am an expert at helping you find and perform exercises that lead directly to feeling better in and about your body. Accountability, safety, effectiveness and fun is what you are signing up for. Let's do this

Training Philosophy

Working with and listening to the body is what makes strength training enjoyable. Enjoyable sets up consistency. Consistent well-rounded safe workouts lead to maximum results. Clarifying what results you really want is also important. The training for a sporting event is not the same as training to keep up with the Grandkids. Every exercise and hour spent exercising needs to be filled with intentional specific exercises that translate into a stronger body. And since every body is different, it's important to choose a trainer that has years of experience working with different bodies, different personalities and different goals.

Working out and reaching goals requires getting to know what works (and doesn't work) for everybody. My training is based on twenty years of helping people find their own rhythm so they continue to train.

Education

NSCA- CPT and ACE certified were just the beginning of my education. I have spent years studying video and in person training with trainers like Juan Carlos Santana, Chuck Wolf and Vern Gambetta. I am a certified yoga teacher.

Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy Practitioner is my latest course of study. I am a SEP. I have found that unresolved trauma and stress patterns directly relate to being able to complete goals.

AND I am an Eating Psychology Coach which also directly influences helping people with body image issues, weight loss plateaus and exercise health.

Bio

I am a trauma informed JOY coach based out of Sun Valley, Idaho. I use lots of cool tools with my coaching and Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy (SE) is one of my favorites. It is magical in assisting in unlocking vital life force energy which helps you feel more like yourself (the yourself you want to be!!) Somatic Experiencing assists in uncovering and then dissolving the blocks we have to living our best life.

You see, while most of us think motivation is what we need to make serious changes, the truth is, subconscious blocks are what stop us from reaching our goals and leading a joy filled life. SE is a very powerful modality for identifying sneaky hidden beliefs (aka blocks) and then releasing them… it’s like magic with lots of glitter. I love love love it.

A few other things about me:

I’ve owned my own gym and been a strength trainer for quite a long time… still love that too

I teach Somatic Flow - Yoga with an SE influence

I am an Eating Psychology Coach which has been life altering for me both on a personal level and professionally creating more FREEDOM with food and PEACE in my miraculous body

I LOVE living in the mountains and winter is my favorite season

I spend time daily outside on the trails with Lucky, the Luckiest hound dog ever, because he reminds me how amazing life is. Seriously no animal has more JOY

I think Superheroes are awesome because they are constantly working through personal conflicts while showing up for others.

I feel incredibly thankful for my job as a coach. I love passing on solutions that I have discovered on my journey.

I live a Somatic Experiencing lifestyle. I live and practice what I coach and teach. This is what makes my life so full of JOY. I will be forever thankful that I found this as a KEY solution to making life changes.

I am an eternal Optimist who loves to chat ideas and solutions with other humans. Seriously,.. let’s chat!
