Personal Trainer Overview
Training Philosophy
--postural analysis
--testing of core function
--movement screens to determine strengths/weaknesses/areas of concern
--assessment of your proficiency with the 7 primal patterns
(squat/lunge/push/pull/twist/
bend/gait)
--length tension relationships
--neurological screening
With this information, I design a program addressing any physiological issue (known or unknown) which may preclude a client from reaching his/her athletic potential/fitness goals. Without that knowledge, not only could you be wasting your time; you very well may be going down the path of injury. In other words, if you're not assessing, you're guessing. Though most trainers don't realize this, exercise is powerful medicine and it needs to be prescribed accordingly. That's what I do.
