Personal Trainer Overview

I am a Holistic Health Practitioner who coaches my clients in the proper application of the Six Foundational Principles of Health. How one thinks, breathes, drinks, eats, and sleeps has just as much impact on a person's health as how one moves. Indeed, failing to get the biochemistry right dooms even the best exercise prescription to failure. I teach my clients how to take responsibility for how they look, feel, and function both in the gym and in the real world.

Training Philosophy

I take my clients through an extensive assessment (typically lasting a total of 3hrs) which entails:

--postural analysis

--testing of core function

--movement screens to determine strengths/weaknesses/areas of concern

--assessment of your proficiency with the 7 primal patterns

(squat/lunge/push/pull/twist/

bend/gait)

--length tension relationships

--neurological screening

With this information, I design a program addressing any physiological issue (known or unknown) which may preclude a client from reaching his/her athletic potential/fitness goals. Without that knowledge, not only could you be wasting your time; you very well may be going down the path of injury. In other words, if you're not assessing, you're guessing. Though most trainers don't realize this, exercise is powerful medicine and it needs to be prescribed accordingly. That's what I do.
