Personal Trainer Overview

The Programming.

Think of your body as a moving locomotive, pulling a heavy load while snaking its way through a valley of steep climbs and rough terrain. Sounds a little like life, right? Well, it is. All parts must be working smoothly in unison to get from point A to point C or the the mighty locomotive breaks down. Your body works the same way, the sum of all parts to be your best.

THE ZONE: First, your mind will be challenged, taking you outside of your comfort zone, strengthening your resolve to push through the challenges and igniting your “Superman” within.

THE MACHINE: The program will work your entire body like a well-oiled machine; targeting your legs, core, arms, chest and back while strengthening your weaknesses in a measured, safe but challenging manner.

THE FUEL: Nutrition is your fuel. You will receive nutritional recommendations (but you MUST consult your doctor for what is best for you) that may help you see and experience dramatic results during your training.

Training Philosophy

TAILORED TRAINING

We are not a once-size-fits-all human, wearing a one-size-fits-all set of clothes, so your exercise program should be no exception. Myoform Adaptive Training is a mouthful, but it is a form of tailored training to the unique goals of the individual (Yes, that means YOU), fusing a structured fitness program with nutrition while forging a strong mind, muscle and healthy body connection.

Education

My fitness credentials stretch from my high school days where I received a scholarship to Peace College in Raleigh (playing D1 basketball) and then to Campbell University, earning a BS degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. While at Campbell, she also played D1 volleyball.

Bio

In North Carolina, I owned a Crossfit “box” and was a Level 1 CROSSFIT coach. I believe that the best way to lead is by example, so I competed in a Crossfit tournament and placed 35th in the world in the 50-55 age group. Currently I’m a co-owner of a Tough Mudder Bootcamp training center in Charlotte. So before you get muddy, let’s get fit!

Since 2014, I’ve been training celebrities in Los Angeles, And in Malibu, California, I’ve been the head trainer for Doctor Robert Huizenga’s (a.k.a “Dr. H” of the television show “Biggest Loser”) clinic, a world renowned MD specializing in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine.

A trainer on the reality show Strong produced by Sly Stallone , Trainer for the Beverly Hills Housewives.

On the subject of incredible doctors, I must give a big shoutout to Dr. Lanman. In 2017, I was in a near fatal car wreck with massive neck injuries. Facing a future with limited mobility (more than one doctor wanted to fuse the three damaged vertebrae in my neck), Dr. Lanman gave me back my life and thus career, by replacing the damaged discs in my neck WITHOUT fusion, restoring my range of motion.

However not everything is about sports and muscles. I know first hand what it’s like to rise up from the darkest depths of one’s soul when I ultimately won my personal battle with bulimia. My heart and understanding empathizes with those suffering from a long list of addictive disorders. For those in Los Angeles, I’m also a sobriety coach.
