Personal Trainer Overview

I believe that everyone deserves to feel healthy, strong, and confident. As a trainer, it is my job to integrate flexibility, strength, and fat loss in order to help you feel and look better than you ever have. I am passionate about education; I want you to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life. Injury prevention is extremely important which is why I focus intently on first correcting any incorrect body mechanics you may be dealing with. My job as a trainer is to give you the tools, guidance, and motivation to achieve your best body!

Training Philosophy

My training philosophy is to first do no harm! I will make sure that each step of the way you are working out correctly, minimizing chances of injury and maximizing weight loss and strength gains potentials! My training programs focus on functional strength; which means we will exercise using full body movements emphasizing core strength. My work in physical therapy and rehab taught me that most injuries people sustain are a result of improper body mechanics stemming from a lack of body awareness.

I believe in using positive reinforcement to push you to levels you never knew you could reach! I want you to feel mentally and physically tougher than you have ever been, and you will after working out with me!

Education

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human physiology from University of Arizona and recently got my master’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in bio mechanics from the University of Northern Colorado. At the U of Az I competed on the track and field team in the heptathlon, a two-day, seven event competition.

I have taught Advanced Strength and Conditioning at the University of Northern Colorado and Anatomy & Physiology to future massage therapists.

Bio

Competing in the heptathlon taught me how important balance and discipline are for physical success. I love teaching others how to integrate health and fitness into even the most hectic schedules. I believe in balancing flexibility, strength, and endurance in order to achieve optimal and life long health. In my free time I enjoy exercising with my family.
