Personal Trainer Overview
I know what it's like to feel as though nothing is working, the effort isn't paying off and that never ending idea that nothing will change.
I lost 90 pounds through changing my diet and exercise and became extremely passionate about helping others get to their dream bodies and mindset.
My methods include thoughtful programming, effective nutritional guidance and techniques that keep you from plateauing and instead, help you to continue getting better. I am about creating a sustainable and maintainable lifestyle, not a diet or quick-fix program.
Training Philosophy
Every single one of my clients uses some form of resistance training as the most significant portion of their fitness efforts. Resistance training will allow you to build muscle, improve posture, mobility, lean mass and keep your bones strong (among other things). Resistance training gives you the biggest "bang for your buck" when it comes to building the desired look and size. I also believe in incorporating cardio for all goals. High Intensity Interval Training as well as other forms of cardio are imperative not only for body composition but also for heart health. Nutrition is paramount when it comes to any goal and without the proper nutrition, goals are hard to reach. I believe in a sustainable approach to nutrition that will allow you to achieve a goal but also maintain it. I understand what it's like to go back and forth with diet and nutrition, never seeing the desired results and getting frustrated. I ensure that my clients make this go around at health and fitness their last: this will be the system that works.

I have significant experience in coaching both for weight loss and strength gain. I have run boot camp classes/group fitness classes. I also currently run lifestyle groups focused on nutrition.
Bio
When I was 20, I decided I was tired of feeling bad about myself. I didn't want to be depressed, lonely and self conscious about everything and everyone anymore. I joined a boot camps style weight loss program that helped me shed 27 of the 90 pounds I've lost and maintained. After the program, I continued experimenting, researching and implementing different fitness and nutrition techniques to help me reach my goals. Through this experience, I've had both good and bad times from running a marathon to battling an eating disorder. My experiences in losing and later maintaining my weight have let me on a constant pursuit to not only learn more but assist others in changing their story the way I did.
In 2018, I left my job as an elementary school teacher to finally achieve one of my dreams: running a personal training studio as a trainer and health coach.
As a former teacher, I seek to educate people on a maintainable lifestyle that keeps them from yo-yo'ing as they have in the past. I am confident that everyone can have the body and lifestyle they dream of.
