Training and Wellness Certification Commission
The mission of the Training and Wellness Certification Commission (TW-CC) is that we are committed to developing and executing an exam for quality personal trainers in the field of health and fitness that will be recognized as an industry standard. TW-CC independently and accurately accesses individuals that are pursuing a certification as a personal trainer
Qualifications are:
500 Hour State Board of Education Approved Training Program; OR
A Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field from a regionally accredited college or university; AND
Minimum of 200 hours of practical experience
Current Adult CPR & AED certifications that has a practical skills examination component (such as the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross)
· Exam is a computerized delivered exam
· Schedule when it is convenient for you
· 2.5 hr testing time
A-CPT has a stringent policy requiring individuals to have an educational background in the health field and also requires a practical background. * This not only gives more creditability to the personal training field, but also sets the highest standard in the health industry for certification.
Recertification to remain A-CPT certified must be completed every 2 years.
