National Strength and Conditioning (NSCA) Personal Trainer Certification

NSCA established the NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) in 1993. Only 9,600 fitness trainers hold a NSCA cert.
A NSCA personal trainer certification covers a whole range of topics from anatomy to nutrition and is one of the more difficult certs to obtain.
The NSCA personal trainer certification is the first program to be recognized by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). They offer a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. It is a comprehensive certification and requires a bachelor's degree.

The NSCA exam is 140 questions and you must be:
18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Adult CPR and AED certicication
The exam cost is $400.00 and they do offer a practice exam.
